I am a PhD candidate (ABD) in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Pennsylvania, advised by William Labov. I'm a member of the Variation and Cognition Lab. I am also currently a fellow in the Urban Studies Department where I teach Fieldwork (URBS 300) in the Spring.

My research is broadly focused on language variation and change, and my dissertation examines syntactic change in the negation system of African American English (AAE). I received an National Science Foundation DDRI Grant for my dissertation research.
