    Florian Schwarz will be giving a talk at at Sinn und Bedeutung 19 at the University of Goettingen on September 17th, 2014. The title of the talk is "Scalar Implicature Processing: Slowly Accepting the Truth (Literally)" and it is co-authored with Jacopo Romoli and Cory Bill.

    Julie Anne Legate will be giving colloquium talks at the University of Conneticut on September 5, 2014, and at Michican State University on October 2, 2014.

  • Florian Schwarz gives talks at SALT 24 and ZAS

    June 2, 2014

    Florian Schwarz gave a talk at SALT 24 on May 31, 2014. The conference was held at NYU. The title of the talk was "Presuppositions are fast, whether hard or soft - Evidence from the visual world paradigm". He will also be giving a talk at ZAS in Berlin on June 6, 2014, titled "Embedded Presuppositions: Experimental Investigations of Projection and Local Accommodation".

    The talk will be given on April 29, 2014. The title of the talk is 'Implications of a three-way analysis of the evolution of English "do"-support'.

    Haitao Cai will present a poster at the IACL-22 & NACCL-26 conference which will be held at University of Maryland, College Park. May 2-4, 2014.

  • Penn @ DiGS 16

    April 13, 2014

    Tony Kroch will be one of the invited speakers at DiGS 16 to be hosted in Budapest from 3-5 July, 2014, by the Research Institute for Linguistics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. A number of other Penn linguistis will also present at the conference.
