Hassan Munshi will defend their dissertation proposal on Thursday, April 27 at 3:30pm, in the Linguistics department library. You can also attend over Zoom.  The defense is public.  They will give an hour talk about their project, Arabic textsetting as sequence matching: A computational approach, followed by a 30-minute Q&A session.
