Linguistics 001      Final Project, stage 2
Due Mo 11/30/2016

This is the second of the two preliminary submissions for your final project for ling001, due Wednesday 11/30/2016.

The goal is to ensure that your data analysis is working out. Can you get *all* the speech or text material that (it turns out that) you need? Is your analysis feasible, given the time and facilities that you have available? Do you understand how to do it? Do the results bear on the question(s) you want to ask or answer?

If the answer to any of these questions is "no", you need to find this out in time to make mid-course corrections.

Therefore your goal for this assignment is to complete at least a first pass of your final project data analysis. At a minimum, your submission should describe the material that you have in hand, and the analysis that you've done. You should provide a sample of the analysis and an indication of how much material you've analyzed, with a brief sketch of the results so far.

If you run into any difficulties along the way, please consult with your TA or with Mark Liberman -- the earlier the better.

[Remember that the file name of all assignment documents should include (1) your name, and (2) identification of the assignment. Thus for this assignment, if your name is Kim Penn, you might name the file something like KimPennFinalProject2.pdf ]
