Those who are unhappy with their grade on the first midterm have the option of writing a research paper on a relevant topic, whose grade will be substituted for the midterm grade.

A one-page prospectus, with a partial bibliography, is due by Friday 11/13/2015. (Submit via Canvas.) You'll get feedback by Monday 11/16/2015.

The full paper is due Monday 11/30/2015. Suggested length is 5-10 pages.
