    Frequently Asked Questions

Note: a state-issued ID or passport is required in order to consume alcohol at the reception Friday evening. University policy requires us to have security checking IDs and issuing wristbands to those over 21 at the door.

Q: Is the schedule of events available?
A: Yes! You can find it here.

    Q: Where do I register?
A: Please visit the registration page and follow the instructions there.

Q: Are poster presenters eligible to submit a paper for publishing in the PLC 40 proceedings?
A: Yes, posters will be considered for the proceedings.

Q: Is it possible to have a poster displayed with no author present, or submit a paper for publishing in the PLC 40 proceedings without presenting it at the conference?
A: No. One motivation of the PLC is to encourage linguists and those who work in relevant fields to participate in discussion revolving around the accepted works.

Q: What are the regulations for poster boards?
A: Poster boards must be maximally 40x60 inches, and can be turned to either a horizontal or vertical orientation. Any poster that fits within these dimensions is acceptable. We will provide the poster board.

Q: How many handout copies should I have for my presentation?
A: Although it is hard to give an exact estimate, 50-60 copies are likely to be enough.
