Quick Hangul Tips

When it is said that Hangul was invented, it means literally.
It was invented by King Sejong and his group of researchers in 1443, and it is one of the few writing systems ever `invented' in human history.

Hangul is a phonemic alphabet system which is very scientific and efficient, and that's why it takes such a short time to learn how to read it.
Of course, scientific can be read as linguistic for the most part. It is not only phonemic, it is featural; there is an iconic relationship between the shape of each alphabet and its sound.

This tutorial aims to give you a basic idea about how Hangul works.
