Linguistic humor, "America reads" receives E for effort

emphasis added). One hopes the war against illiteracy won't quite
recapitulate the history of the war against drugs. Juvenal's words come to

The America Reads Iniative at the University of Pennsylvania
In the State of the Union address in 1997, President Clinton mobilized the
nation in a comprehensive war against illteracy with the
"America Reads Challenge." This innovative and exciting program will
undoubted touch the lives of millions of America's children. The
University of Pennsylvania is proud to be a part of this improtant
effort.
