The semantics of `only' in Hindi is examined and evidence is provided for the monotone decreasing analysis of only defended in Horn (1996) but rejected by Atlas (1996). It is argued that Horn's analysis cannot be abandoned totally, as it fully accounts for the Hindi facts.
