Linguistics 001 Class Schedule

This page will contain a schedule of what topics will be addressed during each lecture, along with associated readings, homeworks and due dates. I will put up a link to the notes for each lecture ahead of time. Note-taking in class, in the form of outlines with key examples is strongly encouraged. To the extent that it's possible, the notes for a given meeting will go up by 5 o'clock on the day of the previous meeting, so the notes for a Thursday lecture will be up by 5 o'clock on the previous Tuesday. Readings marked LI are from Pinker's Language Instinct unless otherwise noted.
