Dear Penn undergraduates in linguistics, As many of you know, the 28th annual Penn Linguistics Colloquium (PLC) will take place next weekend, February 27-29, at Huntsman Hall. PLC is one of the best-known student-run conferences in our field, attracting speakers from across the country and overseas. This year our program features 33 talks from various subfields of linguistics, as well as a keynote address by Berkeley phonologist Juliette Blevins. The complete schedule of events is posted at http://www.ling.upenn.edu/Events/PLC/plc28/schedule.html. This year we are waiving the registration fee for Penn undergraduates who attend one or two talks. If you want to go to more than two talks, you can still have your fee waived by volunteering for a few hours at the registration desk. (This is also a great way to meet other Penn linguists!) Email me by Tuesday if you're interested in volunteering so that we can schedule a time slot for you. Let us know if you have any questions. We hope to see you next weekend at PLC! Marjorie Pak Co-Chair, PLC 28
